Direct to Consumer Tests Now Offered
Little Known Facts about DTC Testing
Direct-to-consumer (DTC) laboratory tests are now available at Tomorrow’s Health. See below some little-known facts about DTC testing:
- Direct-to-consumer (DTC) testing is also known as patient-ordered lab testing
- In the state of Washington, it is legal for patients to order their own lab tests – in other words, it does NOT require a doctor’s order
- In fact, it is legal in the majority (37) of states in the U.S. for patients to order their own lab tests
- Because lab tests provide critical information about a person’s health, DTC testing is meant to help patients be more directly involved in decisions about their own healthcare
If you are an ordering Clinician you can print the Test Requisition Forms out below. Or if you are a patient and want to fill out your Test Requisition Form before your appointment. These forms are fillable and use Adobe Acrobat.
